Bike Setup
(Suspension)
Check your
suspension, is it really right for you?
The suspension setup is the key for determining whether a bike is really
set up right for you. The ride height must be correct for each rider and it
depends on the height and weight of the rider. Since ride height varies
from bike to bike, you will want to check your owner's manual for
determining the correct ride height.
When your suspension is too soft or hard, the bike will not perform
properly and your ride will be harsh and rough. On top of that, the
suspension will not react as well on landing jumps or riding over choppy
bumps or braking bumps. Improper ride height will also cause the
suspension and other parts of your bike to wear out faster. And along
with
the wear and tear on the bike, arm pump can
develop sooner and fatigue may start to set in sooner than it should.
Make sure your suspension is set up for the rider to get the most out of
your machine and to have a good ride. Tune in next month when we will go
over the controls of your bike and how to set them up properly.
